North opens 1 and East passes. South game forces with 2, and West passes. North shows her with 2, so South either rebids 3 or shows stoppers with 2NT. 2NT gets raised to 3NT, but 3 makes North's decision harder. She probably bumps to 4 or 5, and unless South can take 4 as minorwood or gets very excited over 5, it looks like they might play a lesser game.
As it turns out, it is possible to make 6 because the K is in the pocket, as is the Q (although that's not easy to pick up), and so declarer could get away with just one loser. But there are lots of ways for that to go wrong, and 3NT should be pretty safe, so scores on this board could be all over the place!

East has an interesting hand - 11 points, but soft values, and not vulnerable, so she may choose to go ahead and be a nuisance with 3, just open 1, or may also pass for now. Over 3, it actually looks like she may buy it when no one else can really scrape up a bid (North will be sorry for a balancing double!). If she passes, this probably goes around to North who opens 1, and now East can bid 3 and buy it again. If East opens 1, West bids 1, East rebids 2, and West maybe raises to 3 or tries 2NT, but East corrects/passes and plays 3.
This is totally fine - North-South get their 4(!) Aces, but that's really it.

It's a day for preempts! South opens 3 (maybe even 4), which West smoothly passes, and North has nothing to add. Now the crucial decision will come to East. If East doubles, West will almost definitely leave it in (for up to +800). But East has a 5-card suit, so it's not crazy for her to overcall 3, and then West can just bid 3NT and play there.
This isn't easy, but basically declarer just has to keep endplaying South into eventually leading . Declarer throws South in with the K and the K and strips everything but , and thereby can just eke out 9 tricks, or carefully sets up all the suits that are not (throwing North in with a intra-finesse.)

West passes, North passes, and East opens 1. South passes, West responds with 1, and East raises to 2. West might make one more try at game with a game try (maybe ?) or a "spiral" raise quality as about 2, but East minimizes at every turn, and so this probably winds up in 3.
But this can work out for just 3 losers, even with the bad trump break - declarer can lose 1, 1, and 1 to make!

North opens 1 and East passes. South likes her hand quite a bit, but isn't actually good enough for a Splinter , although she might push it and call this a limit raise, bidding 3. That does give West a small pause, but she still throws in a 4 bid (maybe even 5 on her own), and North has no problem bidding 4. East can see how little defense they likely have and bids 5, so South goes ahead to 5, and now things cool down, as West might even hope to have enough to beat this (although not counting on any , that's tough) or conversely, worry that declarer could make 6.
It turns out this is the limit of the hand for NS (losing 1, and 1), so "sacrificing" in 6 would have been smart. But to be fair, this might also go down - declarer does have to set up the to pitch , and that will come down to a guess about the J.

East passes, South passes, and West opens 1. North starts with a takeout double (willing to double and bid her if South picks something unacceptable like ), and East responds 1 (which North tries not to snicker at.) South either passes, happy to be off the hook, or takes partner for a regular takeout double and bids 2 (easier if she passes, in the end.) West rebids 2, and now North has a funny conundrum. Since East bid , North's now look like a cuebid, but she'll just have to plan to do this more than once and hope eventually partner gets the right idea (and 2 is real). North bids 2, South bids 3 (trying to get out), and North bids 3. If South gets that as real , she probably passes. If she takes it as a Western cuebid , she bids 4, and that forces North into the making 4 game! (Which at that point, South really should get the point and pass, although it is not that far out there that South would feel pressure to bid again, that 4 is another artificial thing.) Turns out North could have just overcalled 1 in the beginning and avoided all of this, but it's not a good idea to reverse engineer with good hands like this!
In a contract, North has the advantage of knowing about the bad break. She will still have to take several finesses, but can play for just 3 losers - 1, 1, and 1 - if West shows their points in , leaving East largely marked with the A.

South passes and West opens 1. North overcalls 2, so East just bumps to 2. South passes and West probably just lets that go, suspicious that her points are not that valuable any more, and since North has the same suspicion about her , that looks like it.
EW would have been OK a level up, but it was a good idea for NS to give up. Declarer loses 2, 1, and 1.

West passes, North passes, and East opens 1. South passes, West bids 1NT (not even semi-forcing as a passed hand), and since East is a 5332 minimum, she just passes and plays it here.
1NT is so often one of the hardest contracts to play and defend - and this is a good example. It's largely up to the defense to get this right for their tricks. South shouldn't have a hard time leading , so then the defense could come to 3, 1, 2 (if they are patient), and 1 or 1 and 2.
